Developers can only register sandbox apps.

Organisations can register both sandbox apps and production apps. Instructions for Organisations are available in the Developers section.

 

How to get your API key for Developers

 

Register as a developer first

To access the KBC developer portal, you need to have a user account. Register here.

 

Add your sandbox app

To add your sandbox app, follow the instructions below:

  • Log into the portal.
  • In the top right corner, click on your name and choose 'My Dashboard'.
  • Click on 'Add new integration'.
  • Choose 'App' as the integration type.
  • Click 'Next'.
  • Choose a name for your new app.
  • Select 'Sandbox' as the environment
    (For production you need to register your organisation first.)
  • Click 'Next'.
  • Select your API (search by name).
  • Click 'Next'.
  • Save your request.

 

Wait for the confirmation email

KBC will review your app request and you will receive an email upon approval. KBC may take a while to complete this step.

 

Find your Client ID and Client Secret

To find your Client ID and Client Secret after the app's approval, follow the instructions below:

  • Go to 'My Dashboard'.
  • Click on your app.
  • The Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed in the 'Security' section.

 

How to get your API key for Organisations

 

Register as a developer first

To access the KBC developer portal, you need to have a user account. Register here.

 

Register your organisation

Once you have registered as a developer, you can register your organisation by following the instructions below:

  • Login with your user account.
  • In the top right corner, click on your name and choose 'My Company'.
  • Click on 'Register Your Organisation' to start the registration process.

 

Wait for the confirmation email

KBC will contact you to complete your company's registration. Once this is done, you will receive a confirmation email. KBC may take a while to complete this step.

Optional: to add additional members to your organisation, go to the 'Membership Requests' tab under 'My Company'. Click on 'Add Membership Request' and enter the email address of the person you would like to add.

 

Add your sandbox or production app

To add your sandbox or production app, follow the instructions below:

  • Log into the portal.
  • In the top right corner, click on your name and choose 'My Dashboard'.
  • Click on 'Add New Integration'.
  • Choose 'App' as the integration type.
  • Click 'Next'.
  • Choose a name for your new app.
  • Select your environment (Sandbox or Production).
  • Click 'Next'.
  • Select your API (search by name).
  • Click 'Next'.
  • Fill out the 'Auth – oAuth' section.
    (This step will only show if this type of authentication is required for the selected API.)
  • Save your request.

 

Wait for the confirmation email

KBC will contact you and review your app request. You will receive an email upon approval. KBC may take a while to complete this step.

 

Find your Client ID and Client Secret

 To find your Client ID and Client Secret after the app's approval, follow the instructions below:

  • Go to “My Dashboard”.
  • Click on your app.
  • The Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed in the 'Security' section.
