A QR code or Quick Response code is a two-dimensional barcode. The main difference between a normal, linear barcode and a QR code is that a QR code can trigger several types of actions when the code has been scanned. A QR code can also store far more information than a conventional barcode. It can therefore be branded far better for marketing purposes. QR codes are free and can be requested by anyone.
