The war for talent is real, so keeping workers happy is vital. At the moment, employees tend to prefer flexible pay packages. For instance, a recent study has shown that 69% of workers prefer flexible pay and benefits. They want to be in control of their own salary content. Moreover, 25% say that they would like to trade part of their gross salary for a transport option of their choice.
Payroll providers, HR consultants and accountants offer the KBC Employee Mobility APIs to employers, so that they can provide a wide range of transport options to their workers as part of their pay package. Examples are a company car, a tax mobility budget and a cafeteria plan that uses part of the gross salary for transport options and other fringe benefits.
The KBC APIs connect the HR tool of the service provider with the KBC Autolease tool KBC MoveSmart. This single integration now offers car and bike leasing, but soon it will also provide combined transport options. Such options will also include public transport and car sharing services.
The KBC APIs offer many benefits:
The Employee Mobility APIs are an attractive option for payroll providers, HR consultants, accountants and accountancy software firms.
Payroll providers can be more competitive by offering their clients this extra service in the war for talent. Also, the APIs effectively put into practice the transport policy advice that they are already giving their clients.
HR consultants who are already offering an HR tool to their clients can now include a combined transport solution thanks to these APIs.
Accountants who advise their clients on how to optimise their payroll policy can use the APIs to add a wide range of employee transport options.
The APIs link the HR tool provider and KBC MoveSmart. As a result, employees can easily simulate leasing offers, calculate the impact of certain cars or bikes on their pay, and place their orders.
Firstly, the employee opens the HR tool of the payroll provider, HR consultant or accountant, and gives consent to share data with KBC MoveSmart.
Then the first API asks the employee to authorise the sharing of data from the HR tool. After that, the employee can directly log into KBC MoveSmart. No credentials are needed. An API takes the data from the HR tool and creates a profile in KBC MoveSmart.
Next, the second API asks the employee to configure the planned mobility solution and returns the result to the HR tool.
The HR tool then shows the impact on the employee’s salary.
After the transport manager’s approval, the third API allows the employee to lease a car or bike or order a combined transport solution in the HR tool.
